Questions We Get a Lot

Propane fire tables connect to a standard portable propane tank, which is typically stored inside the table's base — making them easy to place anywhere on your patio without permanent installation. Natural gas fire tables require a dedicated gas line connection, which your contractor or gas technician would handle, but they eliminate the need to monitor or swap out propane tanks. Your choice usually comes down to how much flexibility you want versus how much convenience in the long run.

Most outdoor fire tables in this category are rated between 40,000 and 50,000 BTUs, which is well-suited for creating warmth and atmosphere in an open patio setting. Keep in mind that fire tables are primarily designed for ambiance and supplemental heat rather than functioning as a primary outdoor heater. If your patio is partially enclosed or you entertain during cooler months, a higher BTU rating gives you a noticeably warmer experience.

Many fire tables are built with cast concrete or powder-coated steel frames designed to hold up in outdoor conditions, but using the included cover and storing the burner components during extended off-seasons will significantly extend the life of your table. We recommend following the care guidance included with each unit. If your region experiences harsh winters with heavy snow or freezing rain, bringing the table under cover or into a sheltered area during those months is a reasonable precaution.

We offer free shipping on most orders within the Continental U.S. — please note this excludes Alaska and Hawaii. Fire tables ship directly to your address, and because of their size and weight, delivery timelines may vary. If for any reason you need to return a fire table, our 30-day return policy applies — visit our Return Policy page for full details on the process.

About Our Fire Tables

A fire table brings together two of the most essential elements of an outdoor living space — functional surface area and the warmth of an open flame — into a single, cohesive piece. Designed to serve as both a centerpiece and a gathering anchor, fire tables fit naturally into patio conversation areas, giving guests a place to set a drink, feel the warmth, and stay longer. They are available in propane and natural gas configurations, with surface materials ranging from cast concrete to powder-coated steel, each offering a different aesthetic suited to modern or transitional outdoor settings. When choosing a fire table, consider the size of your patio, whether you want a permanent gas connection or the flexibility of portable propane, and how the table's dimensions will work alongside your existing seating arrangement. A thoughtfully chosen fire table does more than add visual interest — it defines the mood of your entire outdoor space and gives every gathering a natural center.
